As the Coronavirus outbreak rapidly evolves along with increasing public concern, we appreciate the need to be transparent about the measures we are taking both as individuals and as a business, to protect our team and customers.
Coronavirus creates a multi-faceted challenge to us at Funky Yukka. It threatens the very essence of who we are and what we do.
The well-being of our team and customers is always of paramount importance to us and never more so than in this current situation. Please rest assured that we are following all WHO and Government guidelines to ensure we are operating as safely and sensibly as possible.
At Funky Yukka:
We wash our hands constantly
Standard training is to avoid touching faces and if you do, to wash your hands
We have very high cleaning standards, and these have been reinforced as we know this is one of the best ways to keep Funky Yukka a safe environment
We are vetting all of our team to ensure none of them have travelled to high risk areas. We have asked anyone who has been to one of these areas to self-isolate before they come back to work
We fully appreciate the anxiety and fear around the threat of Coronavirus and hope that these measures will offer some reassurance and help people feel as safe as possible.
As people increasingly work from home or self isolate we urge people to follow all government guidelines, we also hope that our customers will continue to support us where possible. In return we will continue to do our utmost to offer a safe, healthy and positive environment for our team and customers.

All businesses are facing unprecedented times at the moment and there has never been a more important time for the business community to pull together and support each other.
This is a continually evolving situation and therefore we want to thank you for sensible collaboration during a challenging and unprecedented moment.
Funky Yukka colleagues can't work from home and a good number of them will need to respond to personal or family challenges connected with dealing with COVID-19. So we would please ask that you understand the challenging environment in which we are all working.
Following the government’s advice and declaration of a ‘National Emergency’, we took the decision that the needs of the thousands of plants we have out in our customers offices were very much secondary to the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers, and that it would be inappropriate to continue travelling from office to office around the country.
We will do the very best we can to meet the needs of our customers over the coming weeks, but to safeguard customers and staff we are temporarily suspending site visits for the next 3 weeks.
This will safeguard our employees and customers in the first instance and of course is in the wider best interests of the country.
We are confident that the vast majority of our displays will be more than able to survive a one off pause in basic maintenance services.
However with this being said we would be extremely grateful for businesses help if there are members of staff still visiting the premises. Even if a member of your team is not on site are there any buildings, reception, facilities, IT, landlord or maintenance staff available to help ?
If this is the case please forward our simple Self-Maintenance guidelines and distribute them to any member of the team that can help.
Please note that any ongoing contractual financial liabilities remain in place and we will of course endeavour to still meet the required number of annual visits.
