Funky Yukka Plant Tech in Charity Dirt Bike Race

The Funky Yukka team are always up for anything adventurous, especially if it's for a good cause. Plant technician Barney took part in the annual dirt bike race Nifty Fifty to raise money for charity. The event has been running since 2014 and in that time, has raised over £50,000 for a number of charitable organisations.

Taking place in the outskirts of Winchester, Hampshire, each team is made up of 4 riders who compete in completing as many laps as possible. The teams select a charity of their choosing and gather sponsorship and donations for each lap of the circuit they complete over the five hour event.

Air Ambulance, Diabetes UK, R.N.I.B, Naomi House Children's Hospice, Make a Wish Foundation are just some of the charities this thrilling and fun event have helped to raise money for. Although Barney's team didn't win this race this time, they still managed to raise money for their charities whilst still having an amazing time.

Well done, Barney!
